Dollies Win Again! The tall blonde show stopping sweeper usually on point gave away a penalty for the Logie winning performance from the Connells striker not long into the first half which meant Dolls were down by 1.
Luckily Karen the crazy Mexican turned the game into a 1 all draw putting away our first goal of the match. Kristy's cracker goal (NASA called and they want their rocket back) put the Dolls into the lead just before half time.
Not long into the second half th
A gallant effort by a depleted team. Thanks to Joel, Tim, Matthew & Reis for helping out from AAC. Unfortunately, went down 2-3 to Kogarah. Game was played in good spirits from both sides. #2017 #AAB #Loss
A tale of 2 halves. The O35s conceded in the first couple and last couple of minutes of the first half. In between they hit the woodwork, had several shots saved off the line and generally dominated play and possession. Going in to half time down 2 - 1 the boys were confident that the game was there to be taken. A bludger of a second half partly due to injury and fatigue meant the final score was a 2 - 7 loss. Back to training, regroup and it's on again next week. #2017 #O35
Tough day at the office for the AAC boys. A scrappy first half where they struggled to put passes together and create space against an opposition determined to take their time away from them. They went into half time down 0 - 2 after an opportunistic early goal and an "Oh-Gee" - its what you say when you score an own goal, hey Joel? Anyway, the guys scrapped and ground their way back into the game. Scoring early in the second half through Stewart McGlinchey then a cracking se
Well, that sucked ! On the back foot from the start, the guys struggled to find any rhythm. They went behind early and really struggled to find any rhythm against an energetic opposition. The second goal midway through the first half was quickly followed by a third and the AAB boys went into half time down 0 - 3. Half time came at the right time after an ordinary first 45 minutes but after an inspirational half time talk from a suspended player saw a much improved 2nd half. G
Thankfully, they delivered.
After a couple of weeks trying to find their feet the Over 35's found some rhythm and put together a tidy passing game. They held a 1 - 0 lead from mid way in the first half and only conceded right on half time to go to the break at 1 - 1. After weathering a few attacking raids by the opposition, the Dolls Point boys were able to hold possession and put together a much stronger second half to run out 5 - 2 winners and bank the first points of the
A packed stadium of Dolls Point fans lead by Manny sure turned up for one hell of a game.
With DPFC kicking off the game down a player Banksia came in firing hard. Dolls defence was lead by their secret weapon Morgan who had an absolute killer ! A few one on ones were shut down by ninga goaly Mel. But unfortunate an unstoppable header slipped through putting Banksia in front 1-0.
Second half kicks off and dolls came back with fire in their boots! The heat was firing up in
In the blue corner, we had Dolls Point and in the red corner, Sans Souci. The game started off slow, with the opposition scoring mid way through the first half. Going behind 0 -1, the Dolls Point girls decided to pick up their game. Mel's beautiful corner was met by Karen who slotted the equaliser. At this point, things got physical and the girls inadvertently renewed a 40 year old rivalry. Dolls Point responded with 2 goals during the following mayhem to give them the final
Yeah well, the first half hour was awful. The over 35s we're down 0 - 2 and with Wayne making some gallant saves in goal lucky it was only that. As the boys begin to find their combinations they were able to claw their way back into the game. A few positional changes and more respect for the ball they were able to stem the tide. The second half started well and we started to dominate possession and territory. Pato took a good penalty to make it 1-2. Unfortunately, that quickl
Back in the traditional colours the AAC's put in another good day's work. They dominated possession throughout the match, in particular, their first half was most destructive. Looking the better side for much of the time, they went ahead 3 - 0 quickly and despite conceding a late goal looked well in command of the match at half time with a 3 - 1 lead. They stretched the lead early in the second half to 5 - 1 but dropped off in the last quarter of the match. Another late goal
