Just one of those games. Played well enough, just didn't use the space on the flanks that was on offer. Dolls Point went 2 - 0 down early in the game and clawed their way into the game with a good goal to Brent York from outside of the penalty area. Despite controlling possession for long passages weren't able to find their way to goal. A penalty sealed the result mid way into the second half.
This was a fast paced frantic affair. Somehow in a match where the insults hurt more than the tackles, 4 players managed to get themselves sent off, unnecessarily. One from the opposition and three of our heroes from Dolls Point. Regardless, the choice of the black alternate strip reflected their petulant display and Dolls Point faced into their 3rd straight loss. Again they found better uses for the ball than their opposition but couldn't convert into goals. #2016 #AAD #Loss
In another good display controlling possession the Over 35's boys logged their 2nd win for the season. Leading 2 -1 at half time, the boys went on with the job in the second half running out 4 - 1 winners. Therefore, finally stepping off the bottom of the competition ladder. #2016 #Win #O35
The AAD side conceded an early penalty to be down 0 - 1 early in the match and went into half time still behind at 1-2. For the second week in succession weren't able to convert domination of territory and possession into goals. The opposition scrambled and made key tackles at crucial times to keep the Dolls Point boys at bay. #2016 #Loss #AAD
Correct ... no typo here. In a pulsating battle of the bottom of the ladder titans, Dolls Point were able to bank their first points of the season. Dolls Point scored first and the opposition had to equalise twice before Pato scored the 3rd and his 2nd goal (pictured) of the day. Despite an abysmal playing surface they were able to control most of the play and deserved to take the points. #O35 #Win
The AAD boys had their first loss of the season to the competition leaders. In a tough tight match, Glory took their chance late in the first half. The game was a battle of the midfield, and despite playing well the Dolls Point guys couldn't find a way through the Hurstville Glory. Despite the loss, they played reasonably well, just couldn't find the space in front of goal. #AAD #Loss #2016
Socrates joined the Over 35 boys to take them through the workings of the defibrillator. The session was highly informative and thoroughly worthwhile. The key points to come out of the session were: 1. The defibrillator will guide us through a series of steps, to initiate the machine. 2. The machine will monitor the heart and guide the user through the necessary steps depending on how the heart is responding. 3. The machine will run through a cycle of applying a shock followe
The AAD boys came through in a tough battle with a formidable Rockdale team. Good passages of play through the middle from Andy and Josh gave plenty of opportunities and entertainment for the crowd. The boys at the back held strong and let nothing get through all day. A great hit by Joey in the first half in the top corner was cancelled out by a Rockdale counter attack that saw stand in goalkeeper Barbic get chipped on the halfway line (SOS Ruz) but Andy was able to draw a fo
