AAB: R8 Vs Ramsgate - Draw 1 - 1

This was a tough encounter, not the least because Benny had to leave the field early to get treated by "Dr" Dennis with a badly cut eye.

The Dolls Point boys desperate to find some consistency and bank more points after their last up win, came up against an opponent sitting in 2nd place.

With the opposition winning the battle in the midfield the Dolls Point boys were left to sit back and wait to hit on the counter. This is exactly what happened going 1 - 0 up when the opposition failed to track Matt Tickle, who was able to slip in behind the defence and slot the opening goal. Apart from a stinging shot that hit the upright, the Dolls Point defence were able to deal with the attacks that came. The opposition scored their equaliser about 10 minutes before half time when the defence failed to clean up a shot deflecting off a defender.

The second half was almost a repeat of the first, with the opposition holding possession for long periods and the Dolls Point boys looking dangerous on the counter attack. They were desperately unlucky when a shot from outside of the box from Jeff Derbridge scraped the

paint off the outside of the post.

Final score 1 - 1, good to pick up a point against one of the leading teams, but the boys have it all to do now.
