Been a while.
The AAB boys took a depleted squad to Scarborough East to take on Ramsgate RSL. In an up tempo match where both teams gave very little away Dolls Point were able to snatch a 1 - 0 half time lead after hitting the cross bar and a penalty area scramble resulted in a headed own goal.
The second half was much of the same as both teams fought for possession and territory. As the tempo and intensity of the game increased, Sherman went on a one man crime spree whi
Patched together, with Matt Ellis from the AAC team and Over 35's keeper, Phil Comely and no bench. This was always going to be tough day out. Despite being outnumbered and "out-healthed" the AAB boys were gallant. They fought back to 1-1 and 3 - 2 but just couldn't find the breakthroughs they needed. Under the circumstances this was a good effort against one of the competition leaders. #AAB #Loss #2017
This loss was Rod's fault. When he set up the field this morning, if he had only put the goal posts an 1 inch (2.5cm to you young folk) to the right, Jeff's thundering shot from outside of the box would have gone in off the post rather than rebound across the goal. We would have gone 1 up and found the momentum of the game much different. As it were the boys conceded not long after that and were then playing a catch up game, playing under pressure.

Well? The tweet said it all .... "Bullet Dodged" The boys took their time getting into this game. Going behind 0 - 1 early in the game after a mix up at the back, the guys then spent the rest of the first half trying to get control of the game. Unfortunately, their passing game was misfiring and they went into half time still behind at 0 - 1. The second half found them coming forward with more purpose and they were able to win the battles in midfield. A great equaliser by Ben
This was a tough encounter, not the least because Benny had to leave the field early to get treated by "Dr" Dennis with a badly cut eye. The Dolls Point boys desperate to find some consistency and bank more points after their last up win, came up against an opponent sitting in 2nd place. With the opposition winning the battle in the midfield the Dolls Point boys were left to sit back and wait to hit on the counter. This is exactly what happened going 1 - 0 up when the opposit
A gallant effort by a depleted team. Thanks to Joel, Tim, Matthew & Reis for helping out from AAC. Unfortunately, went down 2-3 to Kogarah. Game was played in good spirits from both sides. #2017 #AAB #Loss
Well, that sucked ! On the back foot from the start, the guys struggled to find any rhythm. They went behind early and really struggled to find any rhythm against an energetic opposition. The second goal midway through the first half was quickly followed by a third and the AAB boys went into half time down 0 - 3. Half time came at the right time after an ordinary first 45 minutes but after an inspirational half time talk from a suspended player saw a much improved 2nd half. G
Another tough encounter for the boys in AAB. They scored an early goal in one of their rare visits to the opposition penalty area in the first half. The opposition then threw everything at the boys and they did well to hang in and hold their lead into half time.
Shortly after half time, the scores were level then Dolls Point found themselves behind mid way through the second half. With more possession and making better use of it they were able to get back level through a gr
The first Dolls Point team to hit the pitch for real this season were the new boys playing in the AAB competition.
They trekked across to Gardiner Park to take on Connells Point. Dolls Point started brightly enough going ahead early and dominating territory, possession and opportunities. As so often happens, they were stung on the counter and the opposition quickly pegged one back to draw level. Dolls Point quickly reasserted themselves and skipped away to a 4 - 1 lead at
