O35: R10 Vs Sans Souci - Draw 2 - 2

Yep, another one.

You would think that if a team went on a 6 game unbeaten run that you would be sitting high and dry. Not when 5 of those games have ended in draws. This time, however, the boys had to come from behind to steal the points.

Visiting Harold Fraser is pleasant enough, except if you have to play on it. The cricket square in the middle resembles the nearby Princes Highway and it's huge, so it's hard work. Carrying a few injuries and missing a few troops, it was always going to be a tough game for us. No excuse though when the boys went behind 0 - 1 after about 10 minutes through a mix up at the back (what else?) and, as per usual, were making the most of the possession and territory until then.

This was the half time score, and again, we were confident that we could make up the deficit and go on with it. But No ... we went behind 0 - 2, still with 25 minutes to go. Russell then bought Pato into the match, fresh from seeing his mum Sylvia off at the Airport and bought Moh back into the game, who was struggling with a lack of sleep and observing the ritual of Ramadan. Their extra energy lifted us immediately putting pressure on their goal. Moh got us back to 1 - 2 when his deflected shot eluded the keeper. With 6 minutes to go a free kick outside the box, was hammered in by Moh ... and this is where things get murky, was the ball already over the line when Romy headed it in ? Regardless, it was the equaliser and once again we shared the points.
